I was pretty excited to start a blog and I did pretty good there for a while with keeping it updated; and then school started... enough said! Mostly it's just because I haven't had anything fun or exciting to share. Nick and I have been keeping busy with work and school and taking care of our sweet puppy. Life is pretty much in a daily cycle right now with no changes to mix things up a little.
We're breaking in our new church callings. He's been called to be a ward missionary. With that we've had families in our home every weekend to eat dinner and play games with us. He also had to teach the gospel doctrine class on sunday and did amazing. Maybe I'm just partial though! I'm the new primary chorister and I love it!!! I was really nervous about it when my bishop first issued the call because I have absolutely no music ability in me. I try to be musically enclined, but it just isn't working for me. My primary has 9 kids in it all sunbeams and younger! They are absolutely adorable. We sing the same songs every sunday and although the kids don't sing very much, they sure know the signs and actions and they are so dang cute doing them! Since we only have junior primary in our ward I leave sunday school a little early to teach singing time for 15-20 minutes and then can go to Relief Society a little late and still get all my adult time in! I was worried having a primary calling would mean I wouldn't get to know the sisters in the ward and since nick and I are still fairly new I didn't want that to happen. Thankfully, that's not the case!
Nick and I have definitely been blessed with the callings we've been given. Neither one of us were very excited when we first got our calls, but I think we've both come to realize the joy we receive from serving in them. I think Nick enjoys his new calling more than he will admit and that's okay, he can secretly like it!

How fun. I'm glad you are liking your callings. Sometimes it is hard, because it seems like you always get called to do whateverr scares you the most... but you always learn and grow from it.
I'm glad you like being a primary chorister. i personally disliked it alot. ha ha. but im guessing with only 9 kids in the primary and them on in junior primary, it makes it much funnier. :) maybe i just needed an attitude adjustment. ha ha
